Choc Banana Bread

Read this on the Bill's Food

    250 g (2 cups) plain (all-purpose) flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    125 g unsalted butter, soften
    250 g (1 cup) caster sugar
    4 ripe banana, mashed
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    175 g (1 cup) dark or milk chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 180 C(350F). Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl.

  2. Mix butter,sugar, banana, eggs, vanilla extract and chocolate chips in a separate bowl. Add to the dry ingredients and stir to combine, be careful not to overmix.

  3. Pour batter into a non-stick or lightly greased and floured, 19 X 11 cm (7 1/2 X 4 1/2 inch) load tin and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or 22 minutes in a 12 hole muffin tin. Leave to cool in tin for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool. Serve with butter.
